Village of Mokena, Important Update: Online Utility Payment Convenience Fees
Effective March 1, 2026:
- A 2.85% convenience with a minimum of $3.00 fee will be added to all credit and debit card payments made toward your utility account.
- A $3.00 fee will be added to all online payments made by electronic check (e-check).
These fees are charged by our payment processor to cover the cost of providing secure online payment options and are in addition to your regular utility bill amount. The applicable fee will be calculated and displayed before you submit your payment online.
You can avoid these online convenience fees by using one of the following payment methods instead:
- Set up ACH payment from your checking account by completing an authorization form and providing a voided check to the Village.
- Use Online BillPay through your local bank (local bank fees may apply).
- Mail a check.
- Pay in person at Village offices with cash, check, or debit card.
We encourage you to review your current payment preferences—especially if you are enrolled in automatic payments using a credit card, debit card, or e-check—and make any updates needed before February 26, 2026.
